Leinert set the college game on fire, amassing truly stupendous numbers during his time at USC. He finished his tenure with 807 completions on 1,245 attempts (a 64.8% completion percentage), for 10,693 yards and 99 touchdowns to only 23 interceptions. He was a 2-time Archie Griffin Award winner, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner, 2004 Manning Award winner, 2004 Johnny Unitas Award winner, and the 2005 Walter Camp Award winner. Matt currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL.
