I am writing this email to express my appreciation for the NY O-D Camp. My son John, had an amazing time and an unforgettable learning experience. This was his first year and we have already signed him up 2011. The knowledge and dedication of the entire coaching staff is immeasurable. I was extremely happy with the way the whole camp process was run, from check-in on Sunday morning to the bowl game on Wednesday evening.
During the O-D Bowl game, John had the opportunity to be interviewed by you twice that night. His first interview was when he caught two interceptions and the second was his one handed catch for a touchdown in the end zone. The entire crowd including myself and several coaches roared with excited. Undoubtedly a catch that was taught at the clinic/camp.

He is absolutely loving it. He has learned a lot. He really enjoyed meeting the NFL pro's and all the coaches for the week. He was thrilled to see Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens (that's his and dad's fav team). It has been a great experience for him and his football goals. He wants to come back next year as an overnight camper and I have been really impressed with the program. I'm sure TJ will become a regular at the Raleigh, NC camp if you continue to bring it to us!! Thanks so much for the wonderful experience.
Way to go everyone!
- Raleigh Mom
Thanks for the best camp experience that my son could have imagined. O-D camp coaches and Director in Houston were awesome. They made EVERY CHILD feel like that were special. They encouraged both the physically able and the not so physically able. Every child should have walked away feeling like a winner.
Thanks a million, look forward to next year!
- Paul Hill SR.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the good instruction that my two sons received in the Atlanta camp. This is my oldest son's 5th year attending your camps and he has really developed into a solid football player as well as a good young man. He was awarded the defensive skills MVP for the 13 year olds and has been invited to the youth all American bowl in January. This is awesome for him! Your camp is great. We will always remember Offense-Defense is where it started.
- W. Coneway
I have just returned from Atlanta, Georgia, where Offense-Defense held their full contact youth football camp at Oglethorpe University. I had the pleasure of hearing camp co-owner Rick Whittier speak to the parents of campers, and it's safe to say that O-D runs a very good football camp. The camp boasts a 10:1 ratio of campers to coaches, and there are plenty of camp counselors that oversee the dorms for overnight campers. The athletes are pushed to work hard on the field, listen, and improve upon the skill level at their position. There is a strong emphasis on fundamentals and getting the little things right, making good players great. Coaches also provide a detailed evaluation of each camper provided at the end of the week.
Player safety is obviously very important at each camp, which are hosted in cities nationwide, and Mr. Whittier cited that his camps rarely have any problems.
The coaches are legitimate NFL, college, and high school coaches who really know their stuff, and the staff is definitely there to teach football and help build character in the young campers. I would recommend the camp to any parent.
- Erik Johnson (CCN)
I just wanted to pass along my appreciation to all of you for working with my son at the Nashville camp these past days. I couldn't believe that he had the opportunity to be coached by Vernon Dean who played for the Redskins. What a great coach and a true inspiration for Connor. He's brought back some great training that will help the team this upcoming season. I was very impressed will all of the staff, their professionalism, and how hard they worked will all of the players. Connor came home tired but loved every minute and hated to see the camp end.
Thanks so much to all of the coaches and staff.
- Nick A
Any camp, any drill, any rep that helps a player become a better player is beneficial, if he uses it. You can find faults in any camp but O-D focus on them ahead of time, therefore there are few. Use what you learned, apply it in season, make big plays, and keep working each day to be a better player, teammate and person.
- Coach V.
I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know I am excited about attending my last year of camps with O-D (my little brother is excited about starting his O-D journey next summer). Wow it does not seem like 4 seasons of camps, time flies when you’re having fun and improving your football skills. Last year I attended Houston (full contact), Select Dallas and was invited to and attended Elite Camp in M/B-SC. My near term goal is to return to all three again, but this year be selected to the O-D Bowl Game roster and make a contribution.
The years of practice, play and attending your camps as well as many others have improved my skill level and abilities. I am receiving recruiting interest from Southeastern Louisiana University (un-official visit and met my Recruiter), Penn, Oberlin, United States Merchant Marine Academy, Bowdoin College, Valparaiso and Amherst to date.
Thanks again for all your help and I look forward to the summer and next season and hopefully signing with a program next February.
- Ray V. Jackson II
Hey Mr. Whittier, Aaron Wilmer here.....Just wanted to remind you that I signed with West Chester University on a partial scholarship to play football....Thanks to O-D helping me a lot...I appreciate everything I have learned and you guys helped me reach the next level...I will keep you updated on how my college season goes...Thanks again.
- Aaron Wilmer #13 QB
Thought you would like to know the following: Daniel Goodman signed a letter of intent to play football with Division 2 Emporia State University in late January,2010. He is designated to red-shirt his freshman year(Fall,2010). He attended O-D camp every summer for 7 years beginning in Kansas City for 2 years, 2 years at Central Missouri, and 3 years in Nashville. He also was a Select camp invitee summer, 2009. His fundamental techniques and skills were developed by O_D camps, and only his height kept him from Division 1.
Thanks from us both for what he was taught.
P.S. Daniel has indicated he would love to assist at a KC or Nashville camp if you were ever interested.
- Marc Goodman
When I was in 6th grade a friend and I went to the Offense-Defense football camp at the University of Fairfield in Connecticut. There were a bunch of pros there serving as counselors - Dave Casper, the TE from the Raiders, an Eagles LB named Jerry Robinson, Mike Haynes, the great defensive back, Ron Yary, the big lineman from Minnesota, and Franco Harris.
It was great practicing with these guys as our “coaches.” The moment I remember most, though, was an interaction I had with Tom Moore. It was after dinner one night and a bunch of us were just goofing around in the parking lot playing some 7-on-7 touch. Tom Moore — I didn’t have any idea who he was at the time — came walking out of the cafeteria and passed us. He watched for a minute, and then when we huddled up he ducked his head in and said to the kid who was playing QB for us, “Throw a post route. They’re playing you without a safety.” Sure enough, when we broke the huddle there was no safety in the middle of the field and our QB hit one of our guys in stride for a touchdown.
I don’t remember thanking Moore or speaking with him afterwards, but at meetings that night my friend pointed him out to Jerry Robinson and asked who he was. Robinson said, “That’s the wide receivers coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He just won two Super Bowls, man.” So I guess whether it’s a parking lot or the NFL Tom Moore knows how to light up a defense.
- Cliff Harris
I hope you are well. Congrats on another great O-D Bowl. It brought back a lot of memories.
Ryan is at ASU now. They are very excited top have him and I am excited to have him home. : )
Thank you again for the opportunity you gave him and he did not disappoint!
- Geralyn
I just wanted to say thank you for all you did for the youth all american bowl. My son Zach had the best experience ever and has committed to work even harder so he can hopefully qualify again next year. Often satisfied parents don't say anything while difficult parents tend to be more vocal- please realize how much we appreciated all of your efforts.
Again this was an awesome opportunity and I am grateful to the entire O-D family and proud my son is a part of it.
- Brandon Lechthaler
Thanks for all your help at the O-D Bowl. Despite all of the chaos, you managed to maintain a positive attitude and bubbly personality (I think I would have lost my mind a few times lol). My son really loved it and can't wait to have the opportunity to return again. It was an experience he will definitely NEVER forget.
- Nikki Smith mother of Justin "BJ" Fambro
I wanted to say thank you for all of your help, support, and patience with the coordination of the Youth All American Football Bowl in assisting the parents by making hotel arrangements, to emailing schedules, to just making sure we had directions.
This was my son, Israel Strickland (#6 on Team 5 East) first year and he had a blast and is looking forward to camp this year. He has been to the O-D Camp with his father (father counselor) for the past 3 - 4 years and has enjoyed it. I've been trying to convince him to try the O-D camp in Florida but he insists that Nashville, TN is the best although the only other O-D camp he has been to is Atlanta, but that's okay as long as he enjoys it and learns much.
Again, seeing the light in his eyes as he stood on the sideline freezing from the cold weather waiting to get into the game to hit somebody was worth me driving over 400+ miles, hands and feet turning into icicles as I cheered for the East and laughing as the little people tackled and ran the ball in hopes of a touchdown. I say my son had a blast but in all honesty, I think we had more fun just being a part of this wonderful event. As a result, I think we have convinced my nephew to attend the Nashville, TN camp with my son this year. All he could think about was being able to attend the Youth All American Bowl himself next year. Yes, we explained to him that it is by the coach's selection (invitation only) but he didn't care.
Again, thank you and the O-D staff for making this a memorable New Year's for my son and we look forward to speaking with you again in the near future.
- Tometrice Strickland
I just can't thank you and your O-D staff and coaches enough for helping my son, Fabian, develop into a fine football player. His fundamentals on both sides of the ball are a noticeable step ahead of his competitors thanks to you folks.
Because of O-D football, Fabian absolutely dominated in his Junior Varsity high school season, not only on defense but also at the running back position of all things, to help his team 3peat, culminating in a 5 touchdown 348 yard performance in his Regional Championship and a 3 touchdown, 203 yard performance in the Central Bowl victory the following week.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for inviting our son, Micheal to the Elite camp in Ft. Lauderdale Fl last summer. When Micheal attended Select camp and received his invitation to Elite this past summer. The amount of preparation elite camp provided gave him the confidence he needed to be a strong leader on the field this year in spite of his age and take control of his destiny. When he returned from camp and started practice with the team, he immediately put to good use everything he learned and earned himself a starting spot on the varsity team as the mike linebacker, displacing two seniors from the position. I think the hi-light of the season was when Micheal slipped between two HS lineman to hit their QB, break his rib protector and take him out for a series....
Why? Footwork, speed and technique. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Elite Coaches!! Every picture taken of Micheal this year shows him wrapping up, using good angles and working like he should to make the hit. Now that the season has ended, we're proud to share that Micheal tied for 5th in tackles in 7-5A division. He was named to the All District team as a Honorable mention player and he was awarded Varsity Sophomore Defensive Player of the Year at his team's awards banquet last weekend.
Micheal has attended OD since he was 11 or 12 years old, winning camp awards and we firmly believe that the instruction he receives year-in and year-out is invaluable to his success. Because he practices and learns with the toughest players, he knows when he walks on the field, he has the skills he needs to overcome whatever obstacles come his way. It's a mental thing. He just knows that he's already seen the best he's going to see every year, so he has no fear and that makes him a very effective linebacker. It is Micheal's fervent wish that he return to Elite camp again this year. He enjoyed the experience, and understands that hard work nets results...
Thank you so much for these many years of success. We wish you all the best.
- Micheal's Mom
I had a blast...I wish we could come back but our high school program does not allow its' players to attend contact camps...I am a huge believer in O-D...I think that the coaching the players receive at camp is second to none...I have seen the progress in my son...Please let me know if there is ever anything that I can do to help the O-D Football Experience...Thank you...
- Don
Mason and myself had a great time at your camp and we do hope and plan on seeing you again. The players in our program have had lots of inquiries about how the camp was. I know Dean and Jesse will be back again also. I think the kids from the Iowa area will be a larger number next year I hope. Mason is already looking forward to seeing some of his friends that he made at camp next year. I also have kept in touch with a couple of my boys that I was in charge of through the camp and am excited to see how their seasons pan out. I am interested also at helping out at camp next season as a coach or counselor wherever there may be room or what could help out. We have started our seasons practice for our league with conditiong all most over and we can put on the pads Tuesday and do some hitting! I think a few of the boys are getting tired of Mason and Jesse telling them that these 2 1/2 hour practices are nothing you should of been at the Green Bay O-D camp if you think this is tough! You can already see the fruits of their labor working as hard as they did at your camp and over the summer. They both seem to be quite a bit ahead of the other players at this point. I was very pleased with the facilities and thought the food we were served was outstanding!
- Keep in touch and take care,
Dave
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I have served as a father counselor for the last two years at your camps and it has help my son very much. I would like to know when I need to sign up agian to be a counselor this summer!
- Gary C
Hello, my name is Michelle. My son went to your camp last year for the first time in the Cincinnati, Ohio location. We enjoyed the camp so well, I am trying to recruit more children to attend the camp next year (2008).
I was wondering if there are group pricing and what are the brackets? I currently have 4 children that want to attend but our Sports Banquet is tomorrow Friday. I would really like to speak to the parents about the Offense - Defense camp for next year. I would like to give the parents something to look at and entise them to go to your website.
Please let me know what I can do in order to get more children involved with your wonderful camp.
Thanks for all your help!
- Michelle
Your Program is the bomb...we loved it. My son Tyler is now the starting QB in the select league. He beat out 9 other kids, 3 of which were much bigger. I look forward to next time.
- Joe
I was a father counselor at the Pittsburgh camp last year. Remember me? Anyhow, Brandon enjoyed himself so much that we are already signed up for next year. We are going to attend the Baltimore camp . . . it's only 2-1/2 hours from our house as opposed to 4-1/2 hours to Pittsburgh. I am going to sign up again to be a father counselor. I've already talked to several other fathers from our home town about their sons . . .
Thanks again for the great experience I was able to have with my son at camp.
- Bob
This is Leslie K, my son Heath was at your camp last summer and is a returning camper.
I need more info about this years camp I have 5 parents thinking about sending their kids. 2 are coming for sure. I need to know if we can get a group discount and if so how much. I am trying to get as many of the kids from Greendale as I can. I am even offering to drive them if needed.
Heath learned so much last year that he made MVP for his team this year! I look forward to hearing from you soon. Hope your Holidays were great!
- Leslie K
You should see your Indy location numbers jump significantly with this change. Our organization, Dad’s Club, typically sends 8-10 kids each year. I believe that number will at least double. I have been getting a lot of inquiries already about available camps and I have been holding off ‘advertising’ until I got the final word from you on location. This is very good news, Sal. My sons will likely be attending the Indy camp AND one of the surrounding locations (Cincy, Chi, Nashville, St. Louis) depending on the dates.I appreciate your quick response.
- Thanks!
Our son Matthew, age 11, was a completely different player this past season. He was focused, dedicated, and was a fearsome hitter, blocker and tackler. He was a two-way starter (Offensive and Defensive End, sometime Fullback, and Kicker) on the team that shocked their league by winning the City-wide championship in the Jr. Pee-Wee division (Big Apple Youth Football Conference, New York City). His team, the Downtown Giants (http://www.o-d.com/media/js/tiny_mce/www.downtowngiants.com) became champs in only their second year of existence, beating some very talented and well-established teams to take the title.
A few other players on the team attended the O-D camp on Long Island in July. We went to San Antonio so Matthew could spend time there with a friend of his from Dallas.
- Bert K
YES MOST DEFINITELY!!! We are Part of Naples Hurricanes Pop Warner Football Assoc here in Naples. . . . I know that we are getting a large group together this year . . . I know that our President has already spoken to someone over there at OD. Looking forward to this year's camp.
You have the best run camp, my son loved it last year!!!
- C. L. B.
I am writing for FAMFA (Franklin Area Midget Football Association). My son attended your camp last year and will be attending again - but since he enjoyed it so much he has told many other kids in the organization. We were wondering if there was any sort of group rate available for Midget Football organizations? We would be interested in the Pittsburgh camp.
- V.L.M.
We look forward to Camp this summer, and can not Thank OD enough for the development of my son John through the many years of attending OD camp from the instruction and coaching.
My son John, will be a Senior in High School this fall and this will be his final year of camp at OD unfortunately, after 5years of attending camp this will be the 6th year in a row - and the one that will have the most meaning.
Maybe OD should single out - or do something special or recognize for those @ camp that will be making it there final year because they are seniors, and are not able to attend any more.
Because of OD, and the caliber of coaching he has received from OD, he has played at the Varsity High School level since he was a Sophomore - Last year @ OD camp had a goal and a mission in wanting receive the distinguished OD Camp Most Outstanding Player for Offensive & Defensive line, and at the end of the camp in 2007 - he was awarded just that ! ( Hopefully ) he can do it again !
The main reason for my communication is to let all of you @ OD know how grateful we are for the influence you have made in his performance as well as confidence. I also wanted to know if there was anything additional you offer, that he can attend in addition to the regular OD camp - that he can participate in to extend his knowledge and expierence.
Again this will be his final year, and we wanted to get the very most of everything, being this will be his Senior year - preparing him for college and any opportunities they may come along to continue playing Football at the college level - possably. For the most part preparing him for his Senior year is most important, as we will take one step at a time, and whatever comes from that , evaluate it at that time as it comes.
Again, Thank you again OD, it has been some outstanding years being part of a great organization, and have talked to everyone I know about the expierence and highly recommend your program.
We will never forget where we came from, and I know from the years past , there was never a year that my son did not ask me, If I had signed him yet ! As he looked forward to it every year - and he and I will miss it !
We look forward to seeing you at OD Tampa camp!
- M. D.

I would like to thank the entire coaching staff for a great job well done. This past summer my 13 year old son attended the Austin, TX. camp for the first time and had an outstanding week. He learned and conditioned his football skills and most of all made him a stronger leader for his new football team. He now plays starting quarterback and defensive linebacker for his new team and enjoys playing both position.
As a parent, I want to thank the organization for the scholarship that he received and will definitely see you guys next summer.
- Ms. R.
I'd like to thank your entire organization for the fine camp you conducted in San Francisco recently. My 14 year old son attended and I was able to observe many of the practices. I have a background of playing and coaching football at the high school and college level (more than 30 years) and I observed the following at this camp:
1. The organization was great and the 5 days of practice would seem to convert to a month of practices at the high school level. My son was able to learn skills and techniques that I thought could only be taught at the college level.
2. Not only were football skills and techniques taught, but there were many occasions where coaches were teaching and lecturing about life skills as well. At one practice I overheard one of the coaches lecturing about the importance of doing the right things-- even when you're away from your parents. I know that my son was listening keenly to this coach lecture as he told me several times how much he liked him and what a great man he was.
3. I was extremely impressed with the encouragement given to the kids by the coaches. Never once did I observe any evidence of ridicule or unreasonable expectations.
Lastly, I would like to thank each and every one of the coaches that took the time to coach and encourage my son. I don't know them by name, but there were several that went out of their way to make this a wonderful experience for him.
- P. O.
My son and I attended your camp in Portland, OR. We are from Tacoma, WA (Near Seattle, WA). I was a father counselor last year and really enjoy myself and how your camp was set up. My son going into High School really took alot away from your camp. Now the reason I am writing is that I am a youth football head coach and I really liked how there is a full contact camp out there for the young players of today. I like the different skills that were taught and how intense it was. I was talking to my assistant coach during our football season and how the O-D camp help my son and when I told them that the camp starts with 7 yrs old they wanted to know more. I was looking to bring down about 15+ kids depending out parents. I seen that year a coach brought 7 of his players down and this would be a great experience for my boys.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.
- D. B.
Hey, you all in OD Customer Service are great...thanks!!
WOW! I love you guys! Communication and ease of signing up as well as obtaining information has been super. I truly hope my son will want to attend this camp every year.
- R.D.
He got some great news lately as well. He was chosen for VTO Sports "Elite 100" and will be participating in their Division I A scouting match-up as a wide receiver. He has also been training at XXXX Sports with Antico Dalton of the 2002 New England Patriots who is impressed with Joey's footwork, sense of team play and agility. Joey told him that he credits a lot of what he does to what he learned at your Charlotte camp last year.
As a parent, I think your program is phenomenal in developing young men into total athletes; young men who are athletic, competitive, team-oriented and have a good sense of fair play. It's worked for Joey and is what I tell everyone with a son coming up who is interested in a worthwhile camp experience.
- Al
I was on your web site to check things out and wanted to thank you for the offer of sending my son with the group discount program. I think it is so awesome what your programs offers our youth. My son is an avid football fan he is 12 years old and has the NFL network on 24/7 not any cartoons. Thank you again and I hope you have a great season with the kids.
- Candy L.
Thanks you so much for helping me with my situation. It is very refreshing to deal with a person who truly understand the meaning of customer services. Keith is very excited about starting camp. Thanks so must and may the lord truly bless you.
- L. BW
I just want you to know what a GREAT impact you have made on my son. Everyone from checking in, to going to the O-D store to meeting Coach Fonago was such a pleasant experience. I only get one chance at raising my son right and I plan on using every tool I can. O-D camp is one awesome tool and I would highly recommend this camp to anyone. I do know it is expensive but the things presented and taught at your camp are priceless. You all are such an awesome team and I really look forward to sending L. again next year to O-D camp. Thanks for taking the time to make such a great impact on my son. And if along the way you can take a moment and give L. another encouraging word, I know I would appreciate it and I think he would too.
- Mom of L.
My son and I where driving on campus and we saw the OD camp setting up my son wanted to let you guys know he says thanks. He was the campership award winner in the 1st Ft.lauderdale camp and last season he became the leading single season rusher in Broward (Florida) history surpassing the previous record holder. He will be attending FAU and was the only rb sighned on scholarship. If you go on Youtube he has many highlight videos of the record breaking season.
- Thanks
Camp was great. It was a very hard adjustment for him and he called wanting to come home the first day, but once he got to know the boys and got into the rhythm he loved it. Very hard for a boy of 10, but really boosted his self esteem.
At this point, we will try to do it again next year if we can afford it.
- Thanks so much for your help
Virginia
Just want to say thanks for a great camp. This was the first camp I watched from beginning to end. You should give thanks to the Coaches, they did a great job with the kids. I spoke with a few parents and they said this was the best camp ever in St Louis. Yes, this was a fabulous camp due to the coaches. I wish we could get same coaches for next year, I also think other parents feel the same way. If you have the opportunity to speak with the coaches please let them know how much they were appreciated. Now so much for the coaches, I do not want to leave you staff out. Coach Curtis and his staff did everything possible to ensure the best enjoyable camp for both kids and parents. Again, thanks and please pass this along to your coaches and staff.
- K/C
Cody was Defensive MVP... He said he learned new things..
That is so important. For that we thank you and your coaches.
He made some new friends and had lot's of fun..
Well, thank you for everything...See you next year!
- JM
My son, Jonathan, is at 2008 OD Williamsburg, I took some photos. Thought I would share. Thanks for all you do, last year was his very first year ever playing football and OD camp Williamburg 2007 got him ready for his VERY first season. I do not know how to thank you all for setting him up for success in a sport he obviously loves so very much. See his Dad has been essentially deployed for six years and I did not play football so Jonathan is truely an OD success story. His coach last year told me he was the most coachable child he had ever had, eager to learn, and excited to be a team player. Thank you for all you taught him, and continue to teach him this year. Every night he calls, he is tried, sore, and is learning that is really okay when you play football. Even better, last night he told me it was a good kind of pain, that is how he knows he is getting better. What a fine group of men you all are to help our sons on their path to manhood, you know it really shows. Again thank you.
- Cheryl Ann
My son attended camp in Pittsburgh. I just wanted to say thank you to the person who ran it and the coaches. Thanks to you guy's he came back with a tiger in his tank. They moved him up to play with the older(12 yrs) kids and he loved it. He attended two camps this summer one O-D and another one. When i asked him which one he liked more, you guy's won hands down. We already signed up for Pitt again and he wants to go to another place also. Thanks for making it great for the kids. He wears his O-D camp shirt with pride. He wanted to say tell'em New Jersey will be back, that was his nick name.
- THANK YOU !!!!
My son, Christian, entered your camp with a dislike of football and football coaches after last season. Last season ended so bad he was thinking of quitting the sport and trying other team sports. I decided to send him to your camp because of the reviews I read in your testimonial section of your web site. It took a lot of convincing of my spouse to spend the money and send my son to your camp but persistence prevailed. I made a deal with my son that if he still did not like football after this camp I would allow him to find another sport. Christian traveled from Hawaii to participate in your camp and upon his arrival was surprised to find that this camp was truly about football and not fun and games. Christian entered the camp in phenomenal shape because of wrestling but found that it still wasn’t enough. It took him about a day and a half to get used to the running but loved every minute of it. He hasn’t stopped talking about everything he learned from your staff and how fun they made football again. He enjoyed rooming at USD and never complained about missing home. He was surprised on how fast the contact started but thought it was one of the best things about the camp. He has implemented the techniques he learned at your camp and in one day of practice with his new team impressed his new coaches. My son is only 12 years old and is shutting down freshmen receivers. Awesome job O-D and thank for helping my son to love this great sport again. He will be attending next year.
- Thank you and keep up the great work,
Aaron A.
I would like to write you with the news of Nick L. He attended the Pensacola camp and loved it. O-D has given him the confidence he needed to push himself more and help others. The knowledge that he received was priceless. He attended the school football camp in the second week of July. The head coach told us that he could definitely tell that he went to O-D Camp. He is at the top of his team for knowledge, skill, and the ability to help others. I cannot thank O-D Camp enough for the discipline, skills, sportsmanship, and drive that they have given my son. He has met many new boys that he is keeping in touch with. Nick will definitely be attending next year. I know the camp was only for a few days, but he came back a new child. I look forward to helping O-D recruit new members in the years to come.
THANK YOU O-D!!!
- Nichole L.
Thank you for the e-mail. My son and I attended the camp in Miami at FIU. He enjoyed every minute of it. His interactions with the coaches was all that he could ask for. Please give a special thanks to Coach Sherman. Erik is 12 but was moved up to the junior age group and still received a Player of the Week award. The personal encouragement from Coach Sherman really made a difference. He is looking forward to our season and talking about attending the camp next year.
- G. R.
And Thank You Sal and O-D Sports. This was Anthony's first experience of football camp. He had a blast and got fit all at the same time. My son Anthony and I will plan to return in 2009. Thank you for the opportunity you made available for us.
- M.
My son loved it, loved the contact, and enjoyed his playing time. We hope to continue my son's development in his favorite sport. Thanks for O-D coming to Dallas.
- B.B.
Kudos and congrats on the sterling experience for my son, Mac, at the Elite Camp. The coaching intensity and instruction was beyond outstanding. It was a terrific life experience for my son!
- R, JRM
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT MY GRANDSON AND I ENJOYED YOUR PITTSBURGH CAMP. WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! HE LEARNED A GREAT DEAL ABOUT BEING A BETTER FOOTBALL PLAYER, AND I TRULY ENJOYED BEING WITH HIM AND THE OTHER BOYS AS A FATHER-COUNSELOR. AND WE ARE ALREADY EXCITED ABOUT COMING TO CAMP NEXT YEAR. ......... THANK YOU.........THANK YOU..........THANK YOU. ..........
- R AND H J.
We really appreciate all that you have done and will continue to do for my son in the future! His confidence is off the charts and he will be playing for a new organization this year. His attitude and demeanor is very business like! I really did'nt know what to expect but you have exceeded my expectations and you can not quantify the results with a price tag! I can not believe it. Thay are raving about my son and his attitude towards the game!
Thanks a million and we will see you until he graduates from high school!

I just wanted to thank all of the coaches and staff for putting on a fantastic camp in Chicago (North Central College - Naperville, IL) on June 22-26. My son, Erik, learned so much. The coaches were excellent, well organized, prepared, and informative. Our son who is only 10 was never bored and there was no down time or time fillers: a.k.a. Sharks and Minnows. The coaches spent a lot of time instructing my son on the fine art of football. Everything from his stance, arm positions, blocking techniques, and footwork. Living in the Chicagoland area we are able to pick from three major football camps (Chicago Bears Camp, US Sports Camp - Contact Football, and O-D Camp.) We tried the other two camps first because I was not aware of O-D Camp. Your camp blows the other two out the door. In the future I will always enroll Erik in O-D Camp. By far the best Football camp in the Chicagoland area. Thanks again for putting on such an excellent camp.
- Diana S.
My Son, Layne, attended the Pensacola camp and I wanted to extend a big thank you to all staff that made that camp a great success. The coaching was top notch, and Layne was pushed to a higher level of football that he has never received. The director, Dave, kept the camp moving and everyone knew what they needed to do and when.

I just wanted to thank you again for all your efforts related to my son, Danny. He had a great time attending the Atlanta O-D camp in June. It was his first time at a football camp, and he learned a lot from the staff - the coaches were top notch. They introduced him to the proper techniques for each position, as well as providing him with feedback on the finer points to work on. He also enjoyed getting to know the other campers; it helped to have a couple of buddies to talk to while running those drills!
I want to thank you for all your help retrieving Danny's medical records from your files and faxing them to me so quickly. It really helped with getting him registered here for his fall youth league. You found the form so fast I had it in time for the first sign-ups. I called completely out of the blue, and this was no small task either, with so many forms to look through. I know you had to search several different ways in the computer system to find him, and I appreciate your taking the time to help me out. You went out of your way and it meant so much to our family.
The first week of fall practice is just finishing up and my son is doing well - his coaches have complemented him on his work, which makes him feel great. So I would recommend the O-D camp to anyone looking for a fun way to learn football. You have the best team of operators - from on the field to in the back office. The results are easy to see.
- E. P.
Thanks for the great experience for my son. He is only seven and will be starting pop warner tomorrow. I am anxious to see how this has helped to prepare him for his first full contact season.
We already signed for next summer in san antonio.
- Thanks, D J
My husband and I would like to thank you and the OD organization. Our son John who attended the July 6th camp at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh enjoyed the camp. This was his first camp ever. He has been playing football since he was about 9 years old. His self-esteem sky rocketed after the camp. Before this camp he had very low self-esteem. He did not work to his full potential. He is currently in high school football practices and he remembers so much from the camp and is using those techniques. The high school coaches and parents have noticed a big change in him, of course for the better. He practices well above 110%.
All of this is all thanks to you, the coaches at the Pittsburgh Camp and the OD organization!!!!
He already signed up for next year's camp and is looking forward the OD Select Camp, which he was one of the players selected. His younger brother, age 14, who also plays football regrets not going to the Pittsburgh camp. He is looking forward to signing up in 2008 and is encouraging his friends and teammates of the 9th grade football team to consider signing up.
- Again, thank you!!!!
John & Regina
Just a quick note to advise you of our satisfaction with the OD Camp . Jarrett partipated in the Naperville camp this year and walked away with the confidence and skills that i had hoped he would gain. The coaches gave him one on one time and his big surprise was winning the mvp award which really made his confidence soar . He is having a great season with four touchdowns in 4 games and he keeps coming off the field attributing things he did that he had learned at od camp. Keep up the good work.
- Coach L, Falcons Football
Hello! Just an "FYI": I sent 2 of my son's to OD Camp in San Francisco, back in 1998 or 1999 (Can't remember which). Just to let you know, that my younger of the 2 son's is attending The Ohio State University on a full-ride football scholarship! He is a Freshman and actually saw playing time last Saturday against USC.
Thank you so much! Ken Norton Jr. was really good with my kids at that camp.
- T. J. W. (Momma of Nathaniel Williams #43)
My son Hunter attended your Chicago camp this year and it is amazing the difference in his confidence and ability this year. I was kind of leary about sending him to your camp but I am sure glad I did because I am sure it is the reason he has become such a force on the field (I have people asking me every week what brought the change in him, and I tell them it was your camp). I just wanted to say thanks and let you know he'll be back, he not only learned alot but he also had a good time.
- C.T.
Thanks for the note, My son (Ty) has been at the camp the last 2 years and we love it. He will most likely do the O-D day camp for 2 weeks this summer.
- Thanks again! MP
Our experience for both Bennett, Preston and the other 3 players I brought last year was extremely positive. It was the turning point for the two oldest as they are now both starting as VERY undersized linebackers for the 9th grade squad. My oldest son's technique and our other lineman that came, are both just knocking it out this season and have gained tremendous confidence. Likewise my son Preston was the youngest with our group but has gained the most confidence and his progression has shown the most. As the commercial says "Priceless!"
- T.H.
Thanks so much for all the time that you spent with my son, Mac. He is the leading receiver on his Rec. team and also on his All Star team. He has developed into the “GO TO” Receiver on both teams and has given them a lot more versatility. At CB he has intercepted 2 passes this year and returned one for 46 yards. I give the credit to his improvement to you and your staff. We will be in Atlanta, GA over the Thanksgiving Holiday to play in the Youth Football National Championship. Mac will definitely be back in Pensacola and I would like to send him to a couple more camps over the summer which locations do you recommend?
- Thanks, D. P. N.
My Son, Layne has attended your camps (Indianapolis & Pensacola) for the past two years and is the starting QB for the All-Star team, and I have been asked by countless number of parents how did he get that good, and my response is always "O-D and hard work"!
- J.M.
My son and I just recently attended your San Francisco camp, and I must say, although this was our first experience at camp, I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and the effort put forth by your staff. It was an honor being a Father-Counselor and I can truly say that this was the best five days of our entire summer! My son truly learned alot about football, and it showed when he started playing this year. So the buzz has been about "this camp" that Puma (my son) attended and more parents are really interested in O-D, and now it looks like we have a group coming from our orginization. So if you could email me back about how group rates work, I would really appreciate it. The only problem is that although we will be together as a group, the parents wanted the autonomy of doing their own payments and being responsible for them. (I'm sure that will be no problem) But hey Sal, I'm looking forward to another fantastic five days of football next summer with O-D and your crew, so keep up the good work!
- W.P.
I'm M. B. Brooks and I have been to 5 of your camps over the last 2 years. We have really enjoyed them and plan to attend this coming summer. I will be bringing my youngest son (age 7) with us this year to the Atlanta camp.
I coached my youngest son's Jr. Pee Wee team this year and plan to discuss with the parents O-D. Can you send me some flyers/information that I can use/passout at our team's banquet?
I look forward to seeing you guys again next year.
- M.B.
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much we appreciate O-D. According to Maxpreps, Micheal is ranked #1 in tackles so far this season in Texas and #12 in the country. Micheal has attended OD since he was 10 years old and he's now a Junior at Irving HS.
As Micheal gets older, the things he's learned at O-D become more valuable. He's more aware of the competition and keeps his feet on solid ground because he knows there is always something else he should learn in order to be a better player.
We look forward to seeing you all again next summer as he enters his Senior year. Please pass on our thanks to the coaches who worked with Mike at Select Camp in Dallas this last summer.
- Michael's Parents
We just got your e-mail recently...And thought it a good thing to tell you that our son Sean had attended two O_D camps during his teen years. Detroit at 12,and Indianapolis at 14. He got incredible guidance, and the best coaching hands on. The fact that O-D camps were the only one's that offered contact was a big plus for us as he really got allot out them both.
Sean was an all-state pick his senior year, and also selected as one of the Michigan Touchdown club's "GREAT EIGHT AWARD WINNERS"
He committed to the University of Cincinnati in May of his Junior year. he had offers to play in the Big Ten, Big East, as well as the MAC. O-D camps definitely made a difference, and it was the suggestions of several O-D coaches that persuaded him to consider playing on into his college years...For us O-D wasn't only a solid investment into our son's future; It was a great experience for him!
- Sean's Parents
I was wondering have you ever considered using the success stories of your campers before they become pro athletes to help in advertisement showing that the camp can have season changing effect on a players young career. I'm asking because Darius Johnson and Diaz Easterling attended your Pensacola Camp this summer and they have lead thier team to a Disctirct Title and into the district championship game.
- Coach Smith
We love you guys and have loved your camp for 2 years now. Our kids had the best experiences there. Dr. Toomer taught my 8 yr old boy, Noah well. He has come into his own this year and developed a passion like never before. My older son Justus has become a more well-rounded player and a better kid because of what he has learned at O-D!
And Marty Fine is just the BEST!!! First Class!!
Both boys are playing in the Frisco Football League out here and doing well, but it has been a bit of a strain on us financially with both boys playing football out here in Texas. We just wanted to make sure they didn't miss an entire season. It's the main sport they love and we want to foster it no matter what it takes!! We enjoy watching them too!!!
Please know that we will always hold O-D close to our hearts! God Bless!
- Sincerely, S.V
My name is D.A. MY son Darren attended last years camp @ St Marys College. Our experience at your camp last year has help my child succeed during his football season with the American Canyon Patriots. He played at the scouts level, ( 7-9yr olds). He Played quarterback offense scoring 20 Touchdowns, over 30 pass completions, and 4 TD passes. On defense he played ILB, averaging 13 takles a game. The team only allowed 6 touchdowns. As a result, I shared with family and friends that Darren attended O-D camp. I truely feel O-D camp gave my son the tools and necessary skills to make this a rewarding season.
Im requesting a group rate code to share with all of my friends and family of the AMERICAN CANYON PATRIOTS and the youth of our community.
- D.A.
Here in about a month I am going to send you our Football Tackle Roster of all divisions. You might want to make sure everyone is on your mailing list. Only thing our head coach asks is do not sell our names...for your use only. Plan to show your CD at our banquet on Nov 22nd. We will try to get a few more players at camp this year.
My son is having a great year, many touchdowns as receiver, picks and tackles as SS on D and even two runbacks on Kick return. Our Six 7th & 8th grade coaches voted him MVP this year....he does not know it yet:), but will get his trophy at our banquet. I can say that OD really makes a difference in his play. Its a great way to get him started each year and he learns a lot at camp....He leads his team as a captain and the younger player in our organization think he is a greek god. OD has helped make him the player he is today, and taught him how to lead and set examples.
- Thanks,
R.K.

I wanted to let you know that 7 campers from your June San Francisco camp, 11-13 age group, were part of the undefeated 2008 T-Bird Turkey Bowl Championship. team. They had a 12 – 0 record with 9 shut outs over the season. They finished with a shut out over their rival team Clayton Valley who beat them last year in the Turkey Bowl.
My son loves your camp and I know the other T-Birds that joined him this year had the same great experience. O-D builds players.
- See you in June.
Colleen
My Son (Ahmad Black) attended O-D camp and was Best Defense Player there. Now he plays for the Florida Gators as a safety, his first year starting he was selected All-Sec Second Team , also will be playing for the National Championships in College . He won two National High School Championships with Lakeland Dreadnaughts in 2005 & 2006.
- Thank for the training.
Bruce Black (Father)
Just a note to say thank you for making us aware of the rule changes regarding campers that reside in states that have issues with full contact camps. We were one of those parents with concerns about our son's eligibility. We live in Ohio and were told that we shouldn't send our son to o-d this year now that he is a middle schooler. His football coach was afraid that if we did and it was reported, that he would become ineligible for the fall season.
Nick was thrilled with camp last year and was disappointed when he heard of this rule. Even before we received your e-mail we decided to go ahead with our plans reguardless, due to the quality of your camp and the great experience our son had during last years camp. When we got your e-mail that explained these changes and laid everything out, we were able to breath a little easier. Thanks again for the information and for the wonderful camps you offer kids who love this sport. We'll see you in June!
- Mrs. Lori D
Tom has attended O-D camps in the past, and now, as he enters his freshman year of college, he is attending college on a football scholarship. I contribute his success to the teachings of Offense Defense. I thank you very much.

Matthew is registered for his fifth consecutive O-D camp at NAU, Flagstaff, AZ.
He absolutely loves the O-D camp.
We sent the following camp info to his entire eighth grade team from Phoenix, inviting the boys to stay at our cabin (I handed out the O-D DVDs and brochures at the team banquet in December). I know of a few other boys who have or will register because of Matthew's endorsement (Attaway and Ducey families for sure). Two of the boys from his team I hope will join us are very talented players headed to Notre Dame Prep, which produced the senior who turned out to be a star linebacker for the west team in the O-D Bowl this year.
Matthew will be a freshman at Phoenix Brophy College Prep this fall. He is interested in the elite and select O-D camps for the future. You might recall I let you know he was an Football University All-American as an eighth grader this year, playing in the youth bowl game at San Antonio in conjunction with the high school senior Army All-American Bowl (Ray Lewis's son and Matthew were the only two who played both ways the entire game). He noticed O-D will be adding a youth game to its O-D Bowl as well. After an FBU camp in Phoenix this winter where his position coaches were Phil McConkey and Andre Rison, Matthew was invited to the Football University Top Gun camp in Florida this summer. O-D remains his favorite.
Matthew's primary position is wide receiver. He also plays defensive back, kicks and punts, returns kicks and punts, and can play RB and QB.
By the way, I am a judge and can speak to the boys about positive choices, etc., including the consequences of poor choices, should you need to fill any time. I hope to be around for most of the camp this year.
- Best Regards,
JLA
my son is 9-years old and started the louisville camp today. i would just like to let you know i was so impressed how nice everything run.
I will differently pay for my son to stay next year even for the overnight camp. i was very very impressed. Thank you for offering a wonderful camp for the game of football and this is just the first day cant wait till i see the end results.
- Thank you
Tonya Nolan
I am writing O-D Sports to extend a special thanks to Coach Fine for the outstanding job he and the other coaches did at the San Antonio camp this week. The level of organization, intense teaching and discipline was outstanding. My son learned a lot in addition to the techniques of the game. It's obvious why coach Fine is a head coach at the collegiate level. I would recommend the camp to any kid who is serious about learning the game the right way and to any parent who is willing to let their son grow up.
- Dan H., San Antonio, TX
We wanted to personally (via email) thank you for the outstanding job that your staff at O-D camp is doing with the players. Our son is currently attending the Lawrenceville camp and is having the best time! Our son has attended the O-D camps for the past four years at both the Long Island and New Jersey locations. Each year the staff is consistently pleasant and welcoming to the parents. Each year he has received the best training and has improved in his skills and confidence level. Not only has he become a better player, his knowledge of the game has increased. The best part for our son is also the opportunity to meet players, coaches and professional athletes from across the country. The best part for my wife and I, especially my wife, is knowing that he is in good hands and safe at all times.
We often recommend O-D Football camp to all of my friends with kids involved in football. Keep up the good job!
- Maurice & Gerina L.
Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a great football camp you had at Indy last week. Our thirteen year old has been doing an O-D camp every summer now for the last four years – usually the Kansas City camp at Warrensburg, Missouri – but the extra effort involved in sending him to Indianapolis was well worth it.
GREAT coaching staff – good venue – and a lot of attention to detail by Bo and the entire staff. Most detailed evaluation sheet we have ever received! An extra plus was having Dave Ritchie there. We have a summer house in Manitoba and have been Winnipeg Blue Bombers fans for years. It meant a lot to Cristen to be able to visit and spend time with Coach Ritchie at camp and they apparently really hit it off as Dave sent him some of his old Bomber’ Coaches gear after he returned to Pennsylvania. We see that Coach Ritchie is helping with some of your other camps this summer and we hope he is available and that you will be able to bring him back next year (at least for Indy). He was really accessible and inspiring not only to Cristen but to the other campers as well! What a great guy!!! I hope you keep it going!!

Hello! Just wanted to drop a line and let you know how much my two sons enjoyed O-D camp this year. This was my 13 yr old's 5th year at O-D, and was my 11 year old's 3rd year at O-D. All of the coaches did an amazing job as usual. Coach Kirksey ran a very organized camp. Coach Newton did a fabulous job with my 13 yr old as a lineman coach. My wife and I both have gone out and stayed at the camp everyday for the last 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of what we have seen.
Please pass to the coaches our appreciation for the time that each one of them has put in, not only for our children, but for all of the kids in attendance.
- Thank You!
M.L.
I had sent my son Nik to this camp at Radnor College camp outside of Philadelphia. He was 12 years old just turned 13 on the 4th of July and all I can say is what a difference in his personal attitude it made. He has changed for the better and he learned a lot! Aside from the home sickness this was a fantastic camp for him, the only wish is that the enrollment was larger so he could have had more of a chance to practice with more kids his age and size. He learned a lot from the older kids and said how helpful and patient that they were and that the coaches were very good.
I look forward to sending him again next year either to that camp or one in Hamilton NJ. Thanks for the chance to let me email you and let you know how impressed I was with the caliber of the coaches and the way they dealt with the kids! This was the very first time I have ever seen my son truly worn out physically and he enjoyed every minute of it! You guys run a class camp and I look forward to sending my son next year!
- Sincerely Kevin P. M
Our 8 year old son, Matthew S., just finished up at the Long Island Camp (at St. John’s) and all we can say is “WOW!” You guys really know what you are doing when it comes to football and, more importantly, you understand how to deal with the whole child. Matthew loves football but has traits of autism/Asperger’s so we were a little apprehensive about sending him to such an intensive football camp.
We signed him up as a Day Camper, but, halfway through the first day, we realized how open and sensitive the senior management (Coach Fine and extended day Coach Lanny), the field coaches (special thanks to Coach Flo and Coach Toomer) and counselors (too many to name) were to a child with these issues so we immediately signed him up for the extended day program. This was the best decision we made. Coach Flo was generous in spirit and very accommodating, and Matthew thrived with the added attention. Matthew was on Coach Toomer’s team and Coach Toomer continued to encourage him, and to bring out the best in him.
The Camp not only vastly improved his football skills for this upcoming season but, for sure, the positive reinforcement and social experiences he had are immeasurable.
- See you in 2010!!
Carl & Michele S.
I wanted to thank the staff of OD for another wonderful football camp. Our son, Jonathan, was clearly prepared for Pop Warner from this camp. This was so much so that we influenced two other boys' parents to come this year.
The highlight for my son was Coach Williams. He is a wonderful coach and is so passionate about these boys developing their talent. What a blessing to have him!
We are planning on coming back next year to have Coach Williams teach our son better techniques and will influence as many parents in following suit.
Thank you for all you do and please give our special thanks to Coach Williams.
God bless,
- JM, MD
This was my sons first year of OD Camp. It is quite expensive especially for a single mother, but we managed it and it was worth it. He was an overnight camper as we live on an island in the Pacific Northwest and travel to and from camp each day is not an option. It was a great camp, my son really enjoyed it. The accomodations were great, the meal options worked out wonderfully and parking and access were fantastic. I've already signed him up again for camp next year. Please have the camp at PLU again next year. It was fantastic.

Thought you would like a follow up to the young man you send this email to every year.
He is now a United States Marine, Lcpl Justin S. M. left yesterday to serve his
country on the front lines of the War on Global Terrorism.
He has often said that the training he received from football camp was the reason he could survive and excel at boot camp and during extensive training. One of his Drill Instructors
once asked him why he was excelling when others were not, he told them boot camp was nothing compared to football camp and football training LOL.
Thank you for preparing my son for what would have been that much harder
with out your training and your dedication to teaching him and other young men about disciple, structure and of course Honor, Courage and Commitment
Justin was in college on a football scholarship when he decided to join the Marines, so your program was successful on so many levels.

Wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you and all of the O-D staff.
Anthony had a fantastic time at all 3 O-D camps that he attended. Just as we were told, once he stepped foot back on his high school football field is when he - and his coaches - noticed the difference that O-D camps made in Anthony as an athlete. This week is their 2 a day practices. He is at football practice from 7AM - 6PM with a couple hours for lunch and a break in the middle of the day. In the past, Anthony thought that the "2 a day" week was really a tough week. After O-D camps, he is amazed at how well prepared and conditioned his is this year compared to years past.
There are a couple of other big changes that are directly related to O-D camps. Last Friday, the day after we got home from Elite camp, was a training day for our high school team. Anthony ran his 40 in 4.81. He also ran the 800 in 2.49. For a 225 lb lineman, the coaches were pretty happy. They also noticed that his fundamentals had improved greatly.
Anthony has been a starting offensive lineman the last 2 years. His hope was to play more defense. At the O-D camps, all the coaches were telling him he should be a defensive end or tackle. They all seemed to have conversations with him about his potential as a running back. Apparently his high school coaches noticed the same things after his training with O-D. Without Anthony saying a word, they moved him to tackle. Even more amazing, Anthony practiced at running back today.
I can't express to you and the rest of the staff how much we appreciate all that you do. Without the camp experiences, training, and coaching, Anthony would not have had the same opportunities. His coaches also commented today on how fast he was learning anything and everything new they were teaching him. He told them it was because of the O-D camps, "You just learn to pick it up fast at O-D".
We'll be sending along film soon. Our first game is going to be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Should be a great day for game footage.
- Thanks again,
H. H. mother of
Anthony H. - Northview High School

I wanted to follow up with to update you on Warren’s progress this season. I contribute much of his success to the skills he acquired at the OD Select and Elite camps that he attended during the summer. Warren’s school, Charles Herbert Flowers has had a successful 2009 season. They closed out the regular season with a 9-1 record and are the Prince Georges County 4A South champions. This Saturday, Nov 14, they face the one team that beat them during the regular season in the 1st round of the Regional’s.
I invite you to view Warren’s scouting report to see if he is the caliber of player that you are seeking for the OD Bowl game. The link below contains all of his information and some game footage.

Zane Harber went to your Select Camp this summer to learn more about a new position that his coach was wanting him to play (Middle LineBacker). He was selected to go to the Elite camp but he could not attend due to 2 a days for football for High School.
This year he is playing Starting Inside/Middle Linebacker. He averages between 10 to 12 tackles per game and has caused 2 fumbles. He has made approximately 10 SAC’s and recovered 1 fumble for the season . For someone that usually played Quarterback, he is doing great. The Crosby Cougars are now in the playoffs. The team went undefeated to win the District Championship and has won the bi-District Championship this past weekend. They will be playing in Spring against Montgomery this Saturday.
- Thanks again. Thought I would share. Great Camp.
