Merriman was selected by the Chargers in the 1st round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He’s been a star from the start. After only three seasons of play, Merriman has already put up some eye-popping numbers. He’s made the Pro Bowl every year he’s been in the league, been named an All-Pro each of those years, and won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2005. He has accrued an amazing 38.5 sacks so far in his short career.
